Hermleigh ISD Opens School After Residents Lose Power

HERMLEIGH, TX -- After the City of Hermleigh lost power during the snowstorm, Hermleigh ISD stepped up to help people in need.

The school district opened up the school to give residents a place to stay warm until the power returned.

The school was not affected as they utilize a different utility provider.

Residents who visited the school were asked to enter the school through the kitchen area since snow drifts in front of the gym were too large to open the doors.
