Winter Weather Advisory Extended for the Concho Valley

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – The Winter Weather Advisory for the Concho Valley has been extended through 6 p.m. Thursday.  

Meteorologists with the National Weather Service office in San Angelo say light freezing drizzle, freezing rain and sleet are expected over the next few hours creating a glaze on sidewalks, bridges and overpasses.  

Motorists are urged to stay off the roads if possible and if not, slow down while traveling.  

Officials also warn of possible power outages. 

Bitter cold temperatures and freezing precipitation are forecast through early next week.
