SAN ANGELO, TX – With the current water situation, there is only one place to get food in San Angelo Tuesday.
As previously reported, on Feb. 8, the City of San Angelo's Health Department shut down all of the restaurants in San Angelo after a possible naphthalene exposure to the city's water. For the original story see: San Angelo's Bad Water Situation Escalates Quickly
Right now, even convience stores aren't selling hot foods due to officials saying citizens should not bathe or wash their hands.
But there is still one place serving food. Right now at the San Angelo Livestock Show carnival vendors are have kept their normal cooking schedule.
They started with breakfast tacos and burritos and then moved on to serving classic carnival eats.
The vendors assured San Angelo LIVE! that they are not using public water. “It’s been tough but trust me we’ve been using a ton of water bottles” said a cashier at one booth.
Unfortunately this year due to COVID-19 the show and fairgrounds are only allowed to exhibitors and guests. The general public is not allowed.
