SAN ANGELO, TX -- The vaccination efforts in the fight against COVID-19 continue making headway in Texas. According to the Department of State Health Services, as of Sunday morning a total of 3,202,062 doses of the vaccine have been administered.
The data compiled by state health officials show that since Texas began vaccinating residents 55 days ago, a total of 778,784 individuals have received both immunizations.
The following data highlights the progress made during the last three months:

According to the data, Tom Green County has fully vaccinated 5,737 residents and 12,150 residents have received at least the first dose.
When compared to other Texas counties, Tom Green is currently 31 out of 255 that have offered vaccinations. This places the county in the top 15 percent of that group.
The counties with the highest number of administered vaccines doses are the following:
- Harris
- Other
- Dallas
- Bexar
- Tarrant
- Travis
- El Paso
- Collin
- Hidalgo
- Fort Bend
The "Other" classification is applied when the recipient's county of residence is unknown or the address is from out-of-state.
According to DSHS, the week of February 8th Shannon Pharmacy will receive an additional 1,950 new doses.
