SAN ANGELO, TX – Several Law Enforcement agencies teamed up Wednesday to search for a San Angelo area man who had a medical condition and was reported missing by his family.
The Tom Green County Sheriff's Office released the following information Thursday:
Kevin Minzenmayer, 26, was last seen by his family around 9:00 P.M. on Friday, January 29, 2021. His family reported him missing to the San Angelo Police Department the next day.
Minzenmayer's truck was subsequently discovered in the area of the Twin Buttes spillway and on Wednesday, February 03, 2021, a multi-agency searched ensued at approximately 9:00 A.M. The search continued throughout the day and into the evening. At approximately 9:15 P.M. a thermal image observed from a U.S Customs Air Branch Division aircraft was identified as potentially being Mr. Minzenmayer. Law enforcement personnel on the ground were directed to the image from the air and ultimately located Mr. Minzenmayer. Minzenmayer was transported to Shannon Hospital for evaluation and is in good condition.
The Tom Green County Sheriff's Office would like to thank all those involved with the rescue, the San Angelo Police Department, the Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Rangers, Homeland Security, U.S. Customs Air Branch Division, Texas Parks and Wildlife, and the Midland County Sheriff's Posse.
