Suspected Drug Dealer Arrested for Firing Gun At Strip Club

SWEETWATER, TX – A 30-year-old man was arrested after firing his gun at a strip club.

According to the Tye Police Department, Brandon Jones was at Jaguars early Sunday morning. He was arrested after firing his gun six times at the building while in the club's parking lot.

No one was injured at the club and Jones was arrested on Monday inside a store in Sweetwater.

Law enforcement found large amounts of cocaine,  marijuana, and money during the arrest.

Jones was charged with deadly conduct, felon in possession of a firearm, unlawful carrying of a weapon, and attempted manufacture/delivery of cocaine.

Jaguars disputed the intitial report and JAI Dining Services (Tye), Inc., which owns Jaguars Club Abilene, has issued the following statement:

"There was no shooting whatsoever inside the club last weekend. Any statement to the contrary is false and misleading. Our management team did hear shots fired outside the club early Saturday morning. They immediately called 911 in order to notify authorities as soon as possible, and local police made an arrest."

Correction: A previous version of the story indicated the the shooting had happened inside the building. Law enforcement has since clarified that Jones shot at the building while standing in the club's parking lot.
