San Angelo Man Indicted for Drug Dealing

 

SAN ANGELO,TX- San Angeloan Larry Lopez has been indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury for the delivery and manufacturing of a controlled substance. 

On November 29, 2020, a San Angelo police officer noticed a Ford Expedition driving at night with no headlights on and then engaged the vehicle in a traffic stop. Lopez, the driver, said he was trying to get away from another vehicle but the officer did not observe any other around.

After the police officer asked Lopez to step out of the vehicle he continued to say people were walking close by. The officer again did not notice anyone.

Lopez was placed under arrest for the traffic violation and when searching the vehicle found scales inside a lunch box. Also found was a  white powdery substance, which tested positive for cocaine, and marijuana was also found.

Lopez was then charged with manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance in the amount of more than 4 grams but less than 200 grams.

Lopez was indicted on January 7th, 2021, and remains jail in lieu of $50,000.00 bond.
