Windy Conditions May Cause Power Outages Saturday

SAN ANGELO, TX – The National Weather Service office in San Angelo has issued a Wind Advisory for the Concho Valley through 6 p.m. Saturday.

According to the NWS, southwest winds of 25 mph to 35 mph will also gust to 45 mph and higher throughout the day.  The wind advisory is mainly for the Concho Valley north of a San Angelo to Brady line.

Unsecured objects will be blown around and power outages may occur.  The risk of wildfire is also elevated Saturday.

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 30 mph to 39 mph with higher gusts are occurring.  Winds this strong can knock down tree limbs, power lines and make driving difficult especially for high profile vehicles.
