First COVID-19 Vaccine Group Gets Second Dose

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – The second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine will be administered this week to individuals in San Angelo who received the first dose more than two weeks ago. 

As previously reported, on Dec. 15, the first 1,950 Pfizer Covid-19 vaccines landed in San Angelo and were administered to the healthcare workers and first responders. 

With the Covid-19 Pfizer vaccine, two doses must be administered. The first to be given three weeks prior to the final shot. 

Now that the three weeks have come and gone, the people who initially received their first shot will get their second vaccination.

According to Shannon Medical Center they will be distributing the vaccine this week.

On top of the 1,950 Pfizer vaccines allotted to Shannon, the Department of State Health Services sent an additional 2,600 Moderna COVID-19 vaccines to H-E-B pharmacy and Shannon Pharmacy.
