San Angelo to Receive Large Shipment of COVID-19 Vaccine

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – This week San Angelo is getting one of the largest shipments of COVID-19 vaccine in West Texas.

According to the Department of State Health Services, on Dec. 30, Shannon Medical Center will be receiving another 2,600 COVID-19 vaccines. 

Taylor County will be receiving 300 doses this week. Midland will be getting 300 and Ector County will receive 800. Texas' hotspot El Paso will only be getting 1,300 doses of the vaccine.

Shannon Health System will receive 2,600 doses and the San Angelo State School in Carlsbad will get 300.

So far in San Angelo, 1,816 people have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. They will receive their second dose next week.
