Angelo State University’s College of Graduate Studies has been named one of the Top Online Master’s Programs in the U.S. for 2014-15 by the Affordable Colleges Foundation, which provides free Web-based resources for students seeking quality and affordable online education.
Overall, ASU’s graduate program is ranked No. 35 nationally and is joined on the list by graduate schools at five other Texas universities. To be eligible, an institution must offer at least five online master’s degree programs. Qualifying schools are then graded on a scale of 1-100, based on the number of online master’s degrees offered, graduate tuition and fees, academic and career counseling services, and job placement for graduates. ASU’s College of Graduate Studies scored a 92.24.
David Osnoe, director of community outreach and partnerships for Affordable Colleges Foundation, said, “After examining hundreds of schools with a focus on a high-quality and low-cost programming, Angelo State University was ranked in the top 40 Best Online Master’s Programs in the United States.”
Dr. Susan Keith, dean of ASU’s College of Graduate Studies, said, “This is yet another tribute to our faculty who develop and teach these programs. Without their dedication and determination to deliver high-quality education, these types of accolades would not be possible.”
ASU offers online graduate degree programs in business administration, criminal justice, curriculum and instruction, education, homeland security, nursing, psychology and security studies.
The other Texas institutions on the Top Online Master’s Program list are Texas A&M University, Dallas Baptist University, University Of North Texas, University of Texas at Tyler and Stephen F. Austin State University.
This is just the latest national honor of ASU’s College of Graduate Studies, which was also ranked one of the Top 50 Online Graduate Programs in the U.S. by GraduatePrograms.com in October.
