San Angelo Central Starting Quarterback Out for Tonight's Play-Off Game

SAN ANGELO, TX – The San Angelo Central Bobcats will be missing star quarterback Malachi Brown Thursday night for their second round playoff matchup against the V.R. Eaton Eagles.

According to former Bobcat and COVER1 Correspondent Christian Gabaldon the Bobcats will be without Brown after he was hospitalized for appendicitis.

Brown had 2,473 passing yards this season with 22 touchdown and only 10 interceptions. Brown also lit up the field this year with his feet with nearly 600 yards and seven touchdowns.

Central's two main options for QB will come from starting wide out Tyler Hill or senior quarterback Michael Creek.

The Bobcats are 5-5 and will be taking on the 8-3 Eagles in Abilene at Anthony field. Last time the Bobcats won a second round game was in 2017 against Mansfield.

Last week the Bobcats defeated El Paso Eastlake 54-35.

Kickoff is set for Thursday, Dec. 12, at 7:00 p.m. To watch the game check out tonight's special COVER! Live Show on San Angelo LIVE!, our Youtube, Periscope or Facebook.
