Police Searching for Suspect in Fatal Shooting

MIDLAND, TX -- The Midland Police Department is searching for a suspect involved in a fatal shooting on Monday night.

According to MPD, at 10:23 p.m. officers were dispatched to the  DK Convenience store in the 700 block of West Scharbauer Drive for reports of shots fired.

A short time later officers were called to Midland Memorial Hospital for reports of a gunshot victim.

The victim, identified as 20-year-old Santonio Griffin, ultimately succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

MPD released an image of the alleged suspect.
