Perv Arrested for Online Solicitation of a Minor

ABILENE, TX -- A Jourdanton man is facing charges after he allegedly attempted to pay money to have sex with a 13-year-old girl.

According to court documents, 55-year-old Gerald Valdez met the alleged 13-year-old online and decided to drive to Abilene to meet her and pay her "mom" for the sexual favors.

Valdez had previously paid money to receive sexually explicit pictures of the chil.

He stated he would pay more money to the child and the child’s mother in order to have sex with the girl.

After driving 4.5 hours to Abilene and arriving at the pre-arranged location, Valdez was arrested by officers.

Valdez has been charged with Sexual Performance by Child and Online Solicitation of a Minor. His bond has been set at $110,000.
