Chief Standridge Says Goodbye to Abilene Police Department

 

ABILENE, TX -- Chief Stan Standridge officially bid farewell to the Abilene Police Department.

After 25 years of service with the department, Standridge will be moving to San Marcos to serve as the new Chief of Police.

Back in February, Standridge officially resigned from his post. 

During a months-long period, Standridge interviewed in Amarillo and Waco and received several job offers, but ultimately opted for San Marcos.

Standridge will begin his new job on Monday.

Chief Marcus Dudley will replace Standridge at the Abilene Police Department.
