Coronavirus: Is This a Bar Spike?

SAN ANGELO, TX -- Even though the number of daily COVID-19 cases didn't spike one day after re-opening, they seem to have spiked on the second.

On Friday afternoon, the San Angelo Health Department confirmed 54 new cases. Cases have not reached this number since the summer spike.

According to the data presented by the city, 42 of the reported cases belong to patients 21 and over.

Additionally, nine of the new patients are school-aged children.

The cases were confirmed using 32 PCR tests and 22 antigen tests.
