Couple Arrested for Trying to Burn Down a Chinese Restaurant

 

ODESSA, TX – An Odessa couple was arrested on Thursday following a fire at the Fortune Cookie restaurant. 

According to CBS7, on Oct. 12, fire fighters with the Odessa Fire Department and officers with the Odessa Police Department were dispatched to the Chinese Restaurant, the Fortune Cookie, on the Andrews Highway for the report of a fire. 

When the authorities arrived they discovered a fire at the back of the building. The firefighters quickly extinguished the fire before anyone was injured. 

After further investigation fire marshals deemed the fire Arson. 

The following day OPD officers arrested Elizabeth Ann Moll and Henry Stewart Mills for setting the Fortune Cookie on fire. 

They were then charged with Arson and were booked into the Ector County Jail.
