Second Suspect Arrested in Vicious Fight at Motel 6

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – A second suspect has been arrested in relation to the brawl that happened last Monday outside of San Angelo's Motel 6.

As previously reported, on Monday, Oct. 5, an officer with the San Angelo Police Department was dispatched to the Motel 6 on N Bryant Blvd following the report of a fight in progress. For the full story click here: Carslbad Man Arrested After Pistol Whipping Victim at Motel 6

When the officer arrived they discovered a man that had been beaten in the parking lot of the motel. 

He claimed that he had been attacked by two suspects with weapons. The officers noted in the affidavit that the man was clearly beaten with bruises to the left side of his face. 

The officers then checked the video camera's and discovered two men. The victim identified both suspects as Joseph A. Ramirez, 27, and Cezario Garcia, 30. 

In the footage the officers saw Garcia rip the victim out of his car followed by Ramirez pistol whipping the victim in the face. Officers also claim they saw Garcia brandish a knife from his pocket and pointed it at the victim. 

The entire time this was happening the victim was attempting to flee back to his vehicle. 

The affidavit states the black handgun was recovered.

Ramirez was arrested the following day and was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon with 4 miscellaneous warrants. He remains in the Tom Green County Jail in lieu of a $75,000 bond. 

Then after more than a week the San Angelo Police Department arrested Garcia for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 3 less than 27 grams, Possession of a Dangerous Drug, Failure to Identify as a Fugitive with Intent to Give False Information, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, one miscellaneous warrant and one failure to appear. 

Garcia's bond is set at $106,000.
