SAN MARCOS, TX — Once again Abilene Police Chief Stan Standridge is a finalist for the same job in a different city.
Back in February Chief Standridge resigned from the Abilene Police Department in order to pursue a relationship with an employee of the department.
According to a letter submitted by Standridge, after finalizing his divorce he informed the city administration that he had begun a relationship with a city employee. According to Standridge, the relationship “caused a disruption in maintenance and order in the department.”
On Tuesday Standridge was announced as one of five finalists for Police Chief in the City of San Marcos.
He is also currently a finalist for the job in Waco.
Back in May, Standridge turned down an offer to become Chief of Police in Amarillo.

door hit you in the arse when you're on your way out Standridge. Go try to cram your morality down the throats of some other city for a while. Do I really believe that your relationship with your mistress began only after your divorce was finalized? Nope, not for a minute, hypocrite.
