Two 6-Man Games Canceled on Week One After Positive COVID-19 Cases

SAN ANGELO, TX – Two Concho Valley teams have already canceled a game due to coronavirus outbreaks on their football teams.

As previously reported, on August 27, Water Valley ISD reported one student who tested positive for coronavirus. Here is the story: Coronavirus: Water Valley ISD Confirms Postive Student

Now the Water Valley Wildcats are having to cancel their week one game against the Robert Lee Steers.

This isn’t the only team that has canceled their season opener either.

Veribest is also being forced to skip week one after a positive COVID-19 test during summer workouts caused them to miss essential acclimation time.

Instead they will start their season next week at home against Zephyr.
