SAN ANGELO, TX – Students at Angelo State University return to classes Monday, Aug. 17 amid the COVID-19 pandemic and the university has made preparations to keep them safe.
According to information from ASU, students will be wearing masks and social distancing and virtual learning in this new normal.
In a statement on the university website, educators say they are ready:
"At Angelo State, we take care of our own. As we prepare to return to campus for the Fall 2020 semester, the health, safety and well-being of the entire Ram Family is paramount.
This website will outline current plans for the fall semester. We will continue to update it as more decisions are made and plans are finalized. Even though the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, we are committed to providing you with the best campus experience possible, all while prioritizing measures to keep you healthy.
While Angelo State may look and feel a little bit different this fall, know our commitment to you will not change. We will continue to rise, remain Ram Family strong, and we will get through this, together."
San Angeloans are urged to drive carefully around the ASU campus and watch for pedestrians as classes begin.
