Coronavirus: New Positive Case Rate Dropping in San Angelo

SAN ANGELO, TX – The City of San Angelo reported only 37 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday. 

According to the City of San Angelo, on August 5, since the beginning there have been 2,513 total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in San Angelo. San Angelo has a population of 100,215. 

Hospitalizations have decreased to 51. Overall COSA has announced 29 deaths in San Angelo. One of those was today. For more information check out this:  Coronavirus: Tom Green County Confirms 29th Death

So far in August we have had a total of 194 cases of Coronavirus.

The City of San Angelo is expected to release the full coronavirus numbers later today. 

Out of the 37 new cases 24 were PCR tests and 13 were antigen tests.
