McDonald's Giving Out Free Fries on National French Fry Day

SAN ANGELO, TX – The arguably best French Fries in history will be handed out for free on Monday.

According to McDonald's, on July 13, the restaurant chain will be giving away a free medium order of fries to celebrate National French Fry day.

To redeem your free fry first download the McDonald's app. No purchase is necessary for the free fries.

According to the National Day Calender, it is believed by some that the term “French” was introduced to the potatoes when the American soldiers arrived in Belgium during World War I and consequently tasted Belgian fries. Since French was the official language of the Belgian Army at that time, it is possible the American soldiers began calling the fried potatoes “French” fries.
