ABILENE, TX — The Abilene Police Department is seeking the public’s help to identify the individual(s) responsible for defacing buildings with racists graffiti.
According to KTXS, three separate incidents have been reported so far by the Abilene Police Department.
One of the incidents involved a spray-painted swastika, along with the phrase No more f--king N-words at the Station 1 Venue. Two Abilene men then made the decision to paint over the racist language.
The second incident involved a swastika and a 1488 spray-painted on the side of a bridge. The same thing was also spray-painted on the back of a separate building.
According to the Anti-Defamation League, 1488 is a combination of two white supremacy symbols.
The 14 is used as shorthand for the “14 Words” slogan: "We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children." The 88 stands for “Heil Hitler”, as H is the 8th letter of the alphabet.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers as 325-676-8477. A monetary reward is being offered for information that can lead to the perpetrators who have been defacing the city.
