Coronavirus: Permian Basin Positive Cases Surpass 2,600

MIDLAND, TX – Coronavirus numbers in the Permian Basin continue to rise as the number of positive cases surpass 2,600. 

On July 9, Midland County officials reported 1,070 confirmed cases of the coronavirus as the neighboring Ector County reported 1,602.

Yesterday's update shows 12 fatalities in Ector County and 19 in Midland County. 

According to CBS7, 662 of the 1,602 patients in Ector County have recovered, meanwhile only 362 of the 1,070 patients in Midland have recovered.
