MIDLAND, TX – Jose Gomez, the 19-year-old suspect accused of stabbing four at a Midland Sam's Club back in March has been indicted on all charges.
Four people were sent to the hospital, including two children, as well as a Sam's Club employee.
Gomez was initially charged with three counts of Attempted Capital Murder and one count of Aggravated Assault causing Serious Bodily Injury.
Two weeks after his arrest, the FBI declared Gomez' assault a racially motivated attack.
Three days after being booked into the Midland County Detention Center, Gomez attacked two jailers, where he was indicted for an additional two counts of Assault on a Public Servant. This bond was set at $20,000.
Gomez' bond is currently sitting at $1 million.
As, originally reported an Off-Duty Border Patrol Officer saved multiple lives when he stopped an assailant who stabbed four people, including two small children, inside the Sam's Club.
According to CBS7, on Mar. 14, officers with Midland Police Department where dispatched to Sam's Club for the report of an assault in progress.
When the officers arrived, they discovered the man had already been detained by an off-duty Border Patrol officer. They also found four victims who had been stabbed with a knife. The victims were immediately taken to the Midland Memorial Hospital.
Further investigation revealed that the man had stabbed the victims before being approached by a Sam's Club Employee, who was also stabbed in the process. Among the victims were two adults, two small children, and the Sam's Club Employee.
The Border Patrol Officer says he heard a commotion while shopping and went to check it out. Once he saw that the man had stabbed the victims he pulled his gun and identified himself as a law enforcement officer.
The suspect was then detained until Midland Police could arrive.
