ABILENE, TX -- Hours after an AMBER Alert was issued for 14-month-old Edgar Nathaniel Jesus Collins, authorities have located the baby near Kirby Lake in Abilene.
According to KTXS, 28-year-old Catherine Angeline Ocon abducted Edgar last night in Poteet, TX. The U.S. Marshals learned Ocon was in the Abilene area and coordinated their efforts with the Abilene Police Department.
Earlier today, APD conducted a traffic stop at Kirby Lake and arrested Ocon and 39-year-old Robert Collins for interfering with child custody and other warrants.
According to authorities, Ocon was not driving the 1999 Plymouth Voyager that had been listed on the alert. Ocon and Collins were transporting Edgar in a Nissan Sentra with New Mexico plates that had been spray-painted black.
Edgar is currently in CPS custody and will be returned with his custodial parents.
