SAN ANGELO, TX — Generally a gently rolling to rolling country with some high rim-rock & canyon country at the northeast corner. Alamito Creek runs through the middle of the ranch and generally has scattered water holes and big cottonwoods. The creek will run during particularly wet seasons. Perdiz Creek with a spring, live water, and cottonwoods cuts the southwest corner of the property near the headquarters. The South Orient Railroad (not currently in use) splits the ranch north/south. Vegetation ranges from open grass country to mesquite and low desert brush. An on-going brush eradication program has greatly increased the productivity of the ranch.
The ranch is located 17 miles south of Marfa with about ½ mile of easement access off of RM 169.
