University Refunding $10 Million to Students

SAN ANTONIO, TX – As college students grapple with the transition to online classes across Texas, the University of Texas at San Antonio will be refunding students nearly $10 million.

According to KABB, the university will be issuing refunds for housing, meal plans, and parking.

"We recognize that many of our students and their families are cash-strapped due to the coronavirus pandemic," said Veronica Salazar Mendez, UTSA Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President for Business Affairs.

"We care deeply about our students and hope that putting cash in their hands makes it easier for them to make ends meet during the coronavirus pandemic."

The university is also offering students who may need housing, ood, medical and childcare assistance.
