Brownwood Nursing Home Becomes Hotspot For COVID-19

 

BROWNWOOD, TX – The number of patients who have tested positive for coronavirus continues to increase in Brown County as a Brownwood nursing home becomes a hot spot for the virus.

According to KTXS, of the 13 new patients that have tested positive in Brownwood, seven are residents of Brownwood Nursing and Rehab, five are employees, and one is a relative of a nursing home employee. The relative is the only patient hospitalized at the moment. 

The City of Brownwood has stated the nursing home will continue to conduct mass testing regularly until they have two weeks without a positive result.

There are currently 51 confirmed cases in Brown County and only two are not connected to the nursing home.

The seventh death is also associated with the nursing home but no further details have been released.
