Coronavirus: 13 New Positive Cases Confirmed in Prison Units in Abilene

 

ABILENE, TX – The number of coronavirus cases in the TDCJ system continues to rise weeks after the department halted all intake of inmates from county jails.

According to KTXS, there are 13 new cases in the Middleton and Robertson Units. Twelve inmates and one employee tested positive on Monday.

This is the current breakdown of cases in both Abilene units:

Middleton Unit:

  • 13 positive
  • 2 negative
  • 15 pending
  • 2 employees (positive)

Robertson Unit:

  • 8 positive
  • 3 negative
  • 24 pending
  • 6 employees (positive)
