Coronavirus: Walmart To Open First Self Testing Location in Lubbock

LUBBOCK, TX – Walmart's first COVID-19 self testing location in Texas will open Friday in Lubbock.

According to Walmart spokeswoman Anne Hatfield, " a second one is in the works to open later this week, but it will not be in North Texas."

Aside from the upcoming Texas sites, Walmart currently has 12 other testing locations in Chicago, Shreveport, Albuquerque and  Bentonville, Arkansas at the retail chain headquarters.

Walmart plans to add an additional 20 sites in at least 10 states by the end of the month. The retailer is currently partnering with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and Quest Labs to set up future locations.

Testing sites are located outdoors operating by appointment only using self-administered nasal tests.
