Midland Airport to Receive $22 Million From CARES Act

 

MIDLAND, TX – Under the Cares Act the Midland International Air & Space Port will be receiving $22,935,854 in grants.

According to CBS7, the CARES act will provide nearly $10 billion in grants to airports. Nearly every airport in West Texas will be receiving funds, but Midland International will be receiving the biggest grant in the area. DFW will receive $299,199,046 and San Angelo Mathis Field will receive $1,227,539.

These are grant amounts that will be awarded to local airports:

  • Abilene Regional – $1,504,738
  • Andrews County – $30,000
  • Austin-Bergstrom International – $58,735,130
  • Big Spring McMahon-Wrinkle – $30,000
  • Brownwood Regional – $30,000
  • Coleman Municipal – $30,000
  • Dallas-Fort Worth International – $299,199,046
  • George Bush Intercontinental/Houston – $149,187,874
  • Odessa-Schlemeyer Field – $69,000
  • San Angelo Regional/Mathis Field – $1,227,539
