Human Remains Found Inside Abandoned Farm House

 

LEVELLAND, TX – Multiple West Texas agencies were called into Levelland Tuesday after human remains were discovered inside of an abandoned farm house. 

According to the Hockley County News Press, on April 14, the Hockley County Sheriff's Office received a report about human remains that were found inside of an abandoned house on the 2800 block of Santa Fe rd. 

Hockley County Sheriff Ray Scifres and his deputies went to the location and found human remains inside of the home. The South Plains Forensic Pathology team was called in for assistance with the remains. 

The identity of the remains is unclear or how the person died. Sheriff Scifres says they will be investigating the death. 

Lubbock County Sherriff's Office and the Lubbock Police Department assisted in the incident.
