SAN ANGELO, TX – A few severe thunderstorms will be possible late this afternoon through the overnight hours in the Concho Valley, with highest chances west of a Sterling City to Ozona line.
According to the National Weather Service Office in San Angelo, the main hazards will be very large hail, damaging winds and deadly lightning. Also, an isolated tornado will be possible.
Saturday through the middle of next week, severe thunderstorms are possible late Saturday afternoon and Saturday night across all of West Central Texas, with the highest threat area being south and east of a Brownwood to San Angelo to Barnhart to Ozona line. The main hazards will be very large hail, damaging winds, and a few tornadoes.
There is a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Friday night. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 60. South southeast wind 10 to 15 mph. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Saturday. Cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 81. South wind 5 to 10 mph.
Saturday Night there is a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could be severe. Partly cloudy, with a low around 54. South wind around 5 mph.
and on Easter Sunday, Sunny, with a high near 78. Breezy, with a west wind 10 to 15 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.
