Express ER Forgives $3.5 Million In Patient Debt

ABILENE, TX – Express ER announced they will be forgiving nearly $3.5 million worth of patient debt across their facilities in Texas.

According to KTXS, the debt relief program will go into effect immediately and will apply to all patients seen on or before March 31.

"With unemployment skyrocketing and people really falling on hardships, I think it was just the right time for us to step forward and be compassionate with our potential and give back to the communities that have given us so much," said General Manager of Express ER, Dr. Dan Akers.

No application or petition process will be required by the patient. Express ER has six locations open across the state in the following cities: Waco, Harker Heights, Temple, Abilene, San Antonio, and Austin.

“It is our hope that this gesture will alleviate pressure related to healthcare costs that our patients may be facing,” said Dr. Akers.
