Coronavirus: Christoval ISD Closes School Until April 3

SAN ANGELO, TX – Christoval ISD announced Thursday afternoon they will “extend the suspension of normal district operations through Friday, April 3rd in an effort to support our nation's need to slow the spread of the coronavirus or COVID-19.”

Homebased learning for students will begin on March 23rd and food services will also be provided for students.

“Suspending operations for this length of time will allow us to determine, in coordination with local health officials, whether the virus is continuing to have community spread or whether it has been contained,” said the district in a statement.

The district is currently coordinating with other school districts to see if there is a need to further extend the closures beyond April 3, 2020.

“If there is a need to continue the suspension at that time, it would likely be for at least 3 more weeks beyond April 6th.”
