Coronavirus: San Angelo Community Medical Center Limits Visitor Access

SAN ANGELO, TX – San Angelo Community Medical Center and Community Medical Associates are implementing a restricted Hospital and Clinic Patient Visitor Policy for all medical sites.

“The COVID-19 Hospital and Clinic Visitor Policy is intended to provide additional safeguards for our patients, families, visitors, and caregivers through decreased exposure to individuals who may have been exposed to the novel coronavirus that causes COVID-19,” said the hospital in a statement on Facebook.

From now all entrances will be closed to the public except the entrance located at the Emergency Department.

Only one person is allowed to visit per adult patient and the visitor must be the same person for the entire hospital stay.

Visitors will be asked screening questions by a medical professional at each open entrance. No visitors 16 or under may visit the hospital at this time.

If the visitor has symptoms of fever, cough or flu-like symptoms, individuals will be asked not to visit hospital patients and leave the facility.
