Coronavirus: Dairy Queen Cancels Free Cone Day

SAN ANGELO, TX – Texas Dairy Queens are postponing Free Cone Day in all stores in accordance with the CDC’s recommendations to avoid large gatherings for the next eight weeks. The event  had been scheduled for Thursday, March 19th.

Dairy Queens across Texas will remain open and will implement “cleaning and sanitation practices that exceed local, state and government standards.”

Employees in the chain will increase hand washing and the cleaning of high-contact areas such as door handles, pin pads for transactions, condiment and beverage stations, countertops and fan seating areas.

At this time, Dairy Queen has not indicated if they will close their dining rooms as other restaurant chains have done.
