FORT STOCKTON, TX – A student attending a Fort Stockton middle school died Sunday following an incident during a track practice.
According to Newswest9, on Mar. 9, officials with Fort Stockton issued a notice to the public that one of their students died following a medical issue at track practice.
The initial incident occurred on Mar. 2 when the student was taken to the hospital due to breathing trouble. He later died on Mar. 8.

Dear Fort Stockton ISD Family,
It is with profound heartbreak and sadness that we share the devastating news of the passing of one of our students. Our thoughts, prayers, and deepest condolences go out to the family, friends, classmates, and teachers of our student. As the school community processes the news and copes with grief, we will offer counseling and support services to students, and staff. Please call your school for information and available times.
