BIG SPRING, TX – A couple from Howard County will spend the rest of the majority of their life behind bars after a jury sentenced them to a combined 140 years after being found guilty of making child pornography.
According to CBS7, on February 20, a Howard County jury found Christopher James Regan, 38, and Tanya Marie Ragan, 35, guilty of multiple child sex crimes.
The husband was found guilty to conspiracy to produce child pornography as well as two counts of producing child pornography. He was sentenced to 90 years in prison. The wife will be spending 50 years in prison after being found guilty of conspiracy to produce child pornography and possession of prepubescent child pornography.
During the trial the evidence provided included multiple documents that described the Regans sexually abusing and producing child pornography and distributing it. Multiple children were used in these incidents.
Other evidence included several online platforms discussing the sexual abuse of children.
The sentences include lifetime terms of supervised release for both defendants.
