SAN ANGELO, TX – In collaboration with the Texas Hunger Initiative, the Laura W. Bush Institute for Women’s Health will be hosting the Together at the Table, West Texas Hunger Summit.
Taking place on Thursday, February 27, the Hunger Summit is an opportunity for school districts, churches, agency representatives, and individuals from the region to come together and share knowledge regarding food insecurity and finding prospective methods to overcome it in their communities.
The summit will feature keynote speaker Jeremy Everett, Founder and Executive Director of the Texas Hunger Initiative. The initiative is a part of the Baylor Collaborative on Hunger and Poverty. The summit will also feature networking opportunities led by Everett and a panel on Hidden Hunger featuring speakers from agencies around the Concho Valley.
The summit will end with a presentation from Becky Benes titled: “Leadership, an Integral Part of All Organizations.” Benes’ works with organizations to build “authentic, sustainable and profitable leadership.”
The summit will be held at the Region XV Education Service Center, located at 612 S. Irene, and registration is $10 per person and includes lunch. Registration can be completed online at the following link.
