WATCH: Ribbon Cutting for Limb Salvage Club

SAN ANGELO, TX – The San Angelo Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday afternoon for a new non-profit club whose focus is to raise awareness of limb salvage options for patients facing potential amputation. 

The CLI & Limb Salvage Club is the first organization in West Texas dedicated to raising awareness of Critical Limb Ischemia (CLI), Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD), and limb salvage.

The club will host quarterly dinner meetings including complimentary food and beverage.  According to information from the club, the meetings will include educational methods including educational presentations, discussions and case studies.

Information from the West Texas CLI & Limb Salvage Club indicates 8 – 15% of amputees will die in the hospital and only 50% of PAD amputees survive more than 4 years.  For more information in the CLI & Limb Salvage Club check out the website.
