The Senior Services program’s annual Thanksgiving luncheon of turkey with traditional trimmings will be served at the Station 618 senior center on Friday, Nov. 15. The following week, Senior Services will host its annual Holiday Bazaar.
The Thanksgiving lunch, which is open to the public, will be served from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the Station 618 activity room; the senior center is located at 618 S. Chadbourne St.
The cost is the same as it is for Senior Services’ normal weekday lunches: a suggested $3 donation for diners 60 and older who are registered participants in the nutrition program and $5 for all others.
The following Friday, Nov. 22, Station 618’s activity room will host Senior Service’s annual Holiday Bazaar.
Unique homemade items that make great Christmas gifts will be available for sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The bazaar will continue on Saturday, Nov. 23, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free.
The luncheon will also feature door prizes.
Two items crafted by participants in Senior Services’ ceramics program will be raffled: an 18-inch, three-piece Nativity scene and an 18-inch decorative stein.
Raffle tickets cost $1 each or six tickets for $5. The drawing will be at 1 p.m. Nov. 23; ticket buyers need not be present to win.
Booth spaces are still available for $25.
