Abandoned Hospital Goes Up In Flames

BRADY, TX – The old Brady Hospital went up in flames late Monday night. According to KTXS, the building caught on fire around 11 p.m. Monday and it took firefighters several hours to get it under control.

The Brady Fire Department issued a statement asking residents to avoid the area until the fire could be contained. Early Tuesday morning the BFD provided an update stating the fire was under control and that fire units had cleared the scene.

BFD advised the fire will continue to smolder and burn in many areas and fire crews will continue to monitor the scene.

No civilian or fire personnel were injured in the fire and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
