COLORADO CITY, TX – The flu continues to impact school districts across the state especially in the Big Country. In response to widespread flu cases, Colorado ISD decided to implement an early release for Friday and close the school through Monday.
According to KTXS, the district decided to end the school day early “due to excessive absences from illness.” Colorado ISD is the third district in the area that has experienced a high number of students being sick with the virus.
Disinfecting will begin Friday afternoon and continue until Monday at all three schools.
