Police: Man Stalked Female Realtors & Threatened to Assault Their Children Over Text

LUBBOCK, TX – After a man cyberstalked and threatened female realtors in the Waco area, law enforcement officials have arrested a Lubbock man in connection with the string of incidents. Andy Castillo, 56, is accused of stalking female realtors online and then threatening to sexually assault their children.

According to CBS7, about half a dozen female realtor agents received sexually explicit photographs sent from cellphone numbers they didn’t recognize. They also received photos of their children, which had been copied from social media pages. The pictures included descriptions of what the stalker, or stalkers, would like to do to the children sexually, according to detectives. The suspect would visit the realtor’s sites, get their information and then begin to harass and stalk them.

“We had a situation where we had an individual who was harassing and stalking local female realtors and sending extremely dirty, nasty texts thru the mail, trying to procure their children for sex,” said McLennan County Sheriff Parnell McNamara.

Authorities believe the cyber-stalking case could possibly span across 22 states. The latest list shows possible incidents in Amarillo, El Paso, Lubbock, San Antonio and Waco in Texas. Also, on the list is Tucson, AZ; Anaheim, Berkley, Irvine, San Jose and Santa Clara in California; Broward County and Daytona Beach in Florida; New Orleans, Reno, NV; Albany and Manhattan in New York; Belfort, South California; Seattle, and Washington, D.C.

“I think his motive is he is just a dirty, nasty, sick pervert. And, that’s what this guy is. He is a sicko and he preys on women.”

Authorities are currently looking for a second cyber-stalker they believe is doing the same thing. He has been identified and police have a warrant for his arrest. A detective involved in the case told local media that the second suspect is in another Texas city, but provided no further details.

Castillo was arrested on Monday morning and according to authorities five to ten minutes before authorities served the arrest warrant, he was “texting women with very nasty texts, very provocative texts.” Authorities believe the stalker(s) used apps to make the numbers from which the images and messages were sent

The suspect was taken to the Lubbock County Jail but will be charged in Waco on multiple counts, including a charge of criminal solicitation to commit aggravated sexual assault of a child. He will stand trial in McLennan County.
