Police Investigate Deadly Conduct After Witnesses Describe Man Emptying Clip into Car and Home in Santa Rita

 

SAN ANGELO, TX –  At 11:28 a.m. San Angelo Police Department responded to a shots fired call on the 1900 block of Live Oak St.

According to SAPD Public Information Officer Tracy Piatt-Fox investigators and patrol units are on the scene investigating a deadly conduct incident. No further information is available at the moment.

SAPD will release more official details are they become available. It is unclear at the moment if anybody was injured in the incident.

Witnesses at the scene said someone walked up to a car parked in a driveway, pulled out a handgun, and began firing at the car. Then the person pointed the gun at the house and fired. In all, witnesses counted several gunshots. "He just basically emptied his clip," the witness told us. 

No one at the scene indicated there were people injured. After the man fired his shots, he walked off. No one saw a get-away car. "He just walked up and walked away," a witness told us.

Meanwhile, police have crime scene tape around the area as their investigation continues. They are marking where bullet casings and holes were found.
