Texas Rangers Called in for Man who was Allegedly Stalking 14-Year-Old

SAN ANGELO, TX – A Mertzon man was arrested Monday for allegedly asking a 14-year-old for nude photos. 

According to court documents, on December 17, the Texas Rangers arrested Justin Thames, 31, after they were told by the Irion County Sheriff's Office that Thames was attempting to obtain nude photos from a 14-year-old. 

The incident allegedly started in September 2018 and continued until July of this year. The affidavit states that Thames was attempting to contact the child via social media. 

Thames was arrested for stalking and was booked into the Tom Green County Jail at 2:21 p.m. He is currently still in jail in lieu of a $20,000 bond.
