Drunk Driver Indicted for Slamming into Bus Station

SAN ANGELO, TX – The Tom Green County Grand Jury indicted the woman who allegedly drove her car into the Concho Valley Transit Station in September. 

According to Court Documents, on September 22, the San Angelo Police Department was dispatched to the Concho Valley Transit Station, located at 510 North Chadbourne, for the report of a major motor vehicle accident. When the officers arrived they found a black Dodge Charger that had driven into the building. Inside of the vehicle were a 34-year-old male and 33-year-old female who were in need of medical treatment. They were taken to Shannon with non-incapacitating injuries. 

The driver of the car was unknown at the time of the accident but through further investigation the officer found surveillance video of a unidentified woman who ran out of the driver door, into the bus station, and out of the door on the north side of the building. 

Video was also taken of the Charger driving down Chadbourne street, eventually losing control, and smashing into the building. 

Three days later, Justice of the Peace Susan Werner issued a warrant for the arrest of 38-year-old Rebecca Moreno. Moreno's name was the vehicle's registered owner. Here is the original story: Police Catch Woman Who Smashed into Bus Station Using Photos and Registration

After word of the warrant being issued Moreno turned herself into the Tom Green County Jail and was charged with two counts of accident involving injury. She was released the same day she was booked after her bond was set at $10,000. 

Her Initial Pre-Trial hearing is scheduled for January 7 at 2:00 p.m.
